hi. i am new to the sats and would like to know more about the content of the english sats. i am very scared of the shakespeare part. please can you tell me here i can get to know more about the content of the english sats. i don;t know how much my teacher knows because he is new to this also.

Hi - if you need help with english, you could try the revision guides from collins (can’t remember the website but google should have it) - they have ones just for english. I find them really useful with my daughter.

and i think you shouldnt be nervous cuz you will have to do the test any way so just try to relax to all pf u nervous pupils!! if you hav any advice plz HELP !!!

hey guys i have a way of all of you revising all you have to do is get a lot of paper and write one topic of your revision on one page and same goes for the others then stick it on your wall around your bedroom for about a month look back at it and read it and learn it dont forget to add colour and illustration to it.. this is called mind mapping and it is a very good revision technique so i would use it. x

I have the highest target in my year (7A) but in my homework im averaging 6a/7c and i have no clue how to revise 4 english!

Hey…my SATS start on the first week of May. =[ I don’t mind the actual tesys that much, however I hate sitting in the big hall. Nervous but excited for them to be finally over - 2weeks to go!

I have my SATS soon and whenever I try to revise I just can’t! I revised for ages yesterday I hardly took anything in. I maybe weird but I do better when I’m not consintrating on what I’m doing like when I do my homework I watch telly or something and consintrate on that and I get full marks. LOL!

hey i did my english sats a year early last year! n dont worry dere really not that hard!! just dont slack off !

for the reading just infer things from the text, examiners love that.

for writing use loads of long words. vary sentence length and sometimes to make it more dramatic just do 1 sentence paragraphs.

finally if u dont get shakespear dont worry it has lowest amount of marks out of all the three sections just quote for every point you make and then after the quote just say how the choice of language has an effect.
