DSCF0385This podcast was recorded by Year 6 students at St. Alban’s Primary School during a one-day session with myself and Mr. Porter from the Local Authority. The highlights of the podcast include:

  • A countdown of the students’ favourite things about their school
  • A review of the big local derby in the FA Cup; Wolverhampton Wandererers vs. West Bromwich Albion
  • The students telling us about their favourite school trips
  • A look back at the experience of some of the students who represented their school and the city at the BETT (Educational Technology) show in London on Jan. 12th.

Hi guys, I think that poddy was great, I think you could however put more effort into your voices when talking about the match. I think those West Brom supporters should be ashamed the rest was fab to.

Altogether I think you have put together a fantastic podcast. Looking out for the next episodes.

Very professional and really entertaining. I realy enjoyed listening to the team performing. Timing is excellent and worthy of radio broadcast standards, I can not believe how much PDA’s have enhanced my child’s education. My son will definitely be having one next year. A big thank you to Wolverhampton Education for their introduction. Pity the Wolves did not perform as well!!!

You all worked so well and produced an excellent ‘poddy’. I’m so proud of you all. Keep up the great work. Don’t worry about the sound quality, it was the accousitics in the hall. When we do our Science revision podcast we will use a better room.

Well done everybody! You conquered your fears infront of a microphone and worked well together to create your first podcast. I look forward to listening to your next one - when I think we’ll be able to improve on sound quality.

These are all excellent. I had a class this morning of beginner computer users aged between 40 something and 80 something . They made their way into the podcasts and then listened. It was magnificent watching their faces as they listened to you all and then their pleasure as they talked about the whole project and how things are moving on. It reminded us of the pretend radio shows we did at school but yours is heard a lot further. Well done. One comment was that it is so goods for children to be able to communicate and educate each other around the world like this when you are young rather than doing it when you are older. You all sounded as if you were having a lot of fun.
