This podcast was put together by a group of Year 11 students from Parkfield High School. It discusses the main themes and revision points from three poems in the AQA English Language syllabus:

  • The Island Man
  • Night of the Scorpion
  • Two Scavengers in a Truck and Two Beautiful People in a Mercedes

The students planned and recorded this podcast in a one-day session at the City Learning Centre. We hope that you enjoy listening; add your comments by clicking on the title above (Parkfield High Year 11 Podcast - ‘Poems from other Cultures’) and completing the comment form.

Thanks for this great resource. My students like hearing how others their same age have analysed the same poems they are struggling through.
